Senior Software Engineer- Space Force- Cloud

Scottsdale, AZ

Contract Position

Pay Estimated: \$84.40-\$89.40/Hour

**This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position

based on experience and other factors, (geographical location, etc.)**

Contribute to a company at the forefront of mission-critical systems and

technologies in defense and security. This leader in global defense integrates advanced technology to deliver information and insights on the battlefield, offering roles that support security and technological superiority across multiple domains.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage secure, scalable, and reliable

DevSecOps pipelines supporting mission-critical defense systems.

• Apply DevOps principles in CI/CD pipelines, automation,

infrastructure as code (IaC), and cloud orchestration.

• Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to

streamline deployment and ensure secure systems.

• Utilize AWS services to deploy and maintain cloud-based solutions,

including networking, storage, and security layers.

• Develop and manage containerized applications using Docker and

Kubernetes.

• Implement and support monitoring, logging, and vulnerability

scanning solutions.

• Support Agile development cycles by participating in sprint planning

and continuous delivery efforts.

• Generate technical documentation and share system knowledge across

teams.

• Leverage AI tools to automate and enhance workflows.
• Contribute to secure API design, testing, and integration.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor\'s degree in Software Engineering or a

related Science, Engineering, or Mathematics field.

• Clearance: U.S. Citizenship required by Federal Law; must have

the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.

• Experience: 8+ years of relevant experience (or Master\'s

degree + 6 years).

• Programming: Proficient in Python and Java.

• DevOps & Cloud:

• Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (GitLab, Nexus).
• Proficient with AWS (EKS, EC2, Lambda, VPC, IAM, KMS, S3, etc.);

AWS Solutions Architect certification preferred.

• Familiarity with Azure cloud platforms is a plus.
• Infrastructure as Code expertise with Terraform and

CloudFormation.

• Configuration management experience using Ansible, Terragrunt,

and ArgoCD.

• Containerization: Docker and Kubernetes for orchestration.

• Monitoring & Security:

• Tools: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Splunk, ACAS, Grype.
• Familiar with security best practices including encryption, PKI,

compliance, incident response, and vulnerability management.

• Additional Tools & Skills:

• Version control with Git.
• API development and management.
• Familiarity with Kafka messaging is a plus.
• Agile/Scaled Agile methodology experience.
• Expertise in YAML, JSON, UNIX/Linux scripting.
• Strong documentation and communication abilities.
