Responsibilities

1. Effectively develop and maintain work relationships with clients.
2. Correspond with external individuals, participants, officers, and administrators; report to specified clients as required.
3. Manage vendor relationships to ensure performance goals for the department are maintained.
4. Maintain claims inventory at ten (10) work days or less on clean claims.
5. Review and report productivity and quality levels; implement corrective actions as necessary.
6. Develop best practices for the payment of stop loss claims.
7. Create a case management suite of services for the product.
8. Coordinate with other departments regarding plan changes for timely implementation.
9. Meet regularly with direct reports to monitor work progress; recommend and implement corrective actions.
10. Operate within budgetary guidelines; provide variance reports monthly.
11. Evaluate and give feedback on performance; coach and recommend training as needed.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Minimum of four years of Stop Loss Claims experience
• Five years of insurance claims experience
• Supervisory experience dealing with all levels of staff and outside agencies
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; attention to detail
