Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Subcontract Administrator to join our clients team. In this critical role, you will lead and mentor a team of subcontract professionals, ensuring seamless and compliant subcontract management across a portfolio of government contracts. You will play a pivotal role in supporting mission-critical programs for our esteemed clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Subcontract Lifecycle Management:
Manage the full lifecycle of subcontracts, including solicitation, negotiation, award, administration, and closeout.
Ensure compliance with all applicable federal regulations, including FAR/DFARS, and internal policies and procedures.
Develop and maintain comprehensive subcontract files and documentation. - Team Leadership & Mentorship:
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of subcontract professionals.
Provide guidance and support on complex subcontract issues.
Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment. - Risk Management & Mitigation:
Proactively identify and assess potential risks associated with subcontracts.
Develop and implement mitigation strategies to minimize risk and ensure successful contract performance.
Monitor subcontractor performance and address any issues promptly. - Collaboration & Communication:
Collaborate effectively with program managers, legal counsel, procurement, and other internal stakeholders.
Communicate complex information clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors. - Continuous Improvement:
Continuously review and improve subcontract processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and compliance.
Stay abreast of changes in federal regulations and industry best practices.
Identify and implement process improvements to streamline operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Contract Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience managing subcontracts in a government contracting environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in FAR/DFARS and other relevant federal regulations.
- Strong understanding of various contract types (e.g., T&M, FFP, CPFF) and their application.
- Proven leadership and mentorship experience.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant subcontract management software.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
