The Building People, LLC, has a position open for a qualified Systems Administrator to fulfill the following duties:
- Administer and troubleshoot GSA-wide contracting databases, covering activities such as Acquisition, Lease/Real Property, and support programs, serving as Functional Administrator (Systems) Requirements.
- Manage and administer industry-standard government-wide contracting databases including FPDS-NG, Business Intelligence, Repository for Lease contracting activities, SAM, and APM. Assist in system reconciliation and provide expert advice on resolution of issues.
- Develop and instruct end-user training classes on GSA-wide contracting databases.
- Generate detailed reports, including pivot tables, from GSA-wide and government-wide databases.
- Establish end user profiles and security setups for the Acquisition and Leasing Workforce on relevant contracting databases.
- Conduct one-on-one end user training and provide assistance akin to a helpdesk; conduct group training on recurring trends and new initiatives for varied audiences.
- Manage day-to-day acquisition-related applications and database maintenance, including updating information, administering user accounts, resolving issues, and producing ad-hoc reports.
- Participate as a team member on GSA-wide initiatives regarding database issues, resolutions, and upgrades, representing PBS-R4.
- Administer contracting databases with direct access to system programmers, including testing and evaluating electronic implementations such as system deployments, electronic signatures, electronic contract files, email and database conversions.
- Attend meetings with GSA management to present findings, ideas, and recommendations; provide expert judgment and risk analysis on agency vulnerabilities and metrics related to acquisition and leasing programs.
- Recommend methods to overcome barriers, improve processes, and enhance data quality.
- Document findings related to vulnerabilities, trends, and training needs.
- Ensure database accuracy through maintenance and clean-up activities.
- Assist in collecting, analyzing, and developing responses on mission-critical functions.
- Help develop and maintain internal forums for dashboards and workload metrics.
Required Experience & Skills
- A 4-year degree in an IT-related field and/or experience in Database Management.
- At least 4 years managing systems, preferably related to acquisition/contract writing, analyzing data, and making recommendations.
- Attain and maintain mid-level Program Project Management (PPM) certification within 1 year of assignment, such as PPM Level II or PPM-IT Level II.
Preferred Experience & Skills
- Preferred certifications to support ongoing professional development in project management.
- Experience with FPDS-NG, BI, Fed Biz Opp, Lease Repository, SAM, and APM.
