Practice Leader, Tax
Addison Group is a leader in the placement of Accounting, Finance, Tax, and Audit professionals. Growing consulting firm in the Bellevue area is looking to build out a CPA tax firm. Our client is seeking an ambitious Practice Tax Leader to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a tax professional with a strong background in tax advisory, leadership, and client management to take the next step in their career. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing complex tax issues, leading a team, and providing strategic advice to high-net-worth clients and closely held businesses. This is the ideal opportunity for someone that has operated as a Manager/Senior Manager, Tax level and looking to fast track to Partner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the tax practice, building and mentoring a future team of tax professionals.
- Provide expert tax advice and strategies for individual, trust, and investment clients.
- Review and signing of individual and business returns.
- Providing clients with tax related projections and consulting as needed, along with general planning.
- Oversee operations and performance of the tax practice, ensuring efficiency and success.
- Develop KPIs, goals, and strategies to drive return and profitability.
- Oversee and create forecasting and budgeting of the tax practice.
- Cultivate and manage client relationships, ensuring exceptional service and proactive solutions.
- Handle complex tax issues and coordinate with other teams to develop comprehensive client strategies.
- Stay up-to-date with tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and optimal tax planning.
- Partner with internal consulting teams, third-party advisors, and firm Partners for collaborative solutions.
- Advise clients on tax regulation, tax planning, and tax strategy.
Qualifications:
- CPA required.
- Minimum 5 years of tax experience, ideally with exposure to high-net-worth individuals, trust, and business tax.
- Local CPA firm experience preferred.
- Strong foundation in tax is required.
- Experience servicing trust and estate, asset management, wealth management, or investment clients is highly desired.
- Blended experience with individual, state, and federal tax knowledge is highly desired.
- Strong leadership and team management experience.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on operations and growth.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong passion for client service and interacting with external business partners.
- Participate in networking events and professional associations.
Location: Bellevue, WA – In-office position
Our client offers:
$140,000 to $170,000 base salary range dependent on experience level. Annual bonus based on profitability and revenue growth.
