Tech/IT Support Working Student

JOB PURPOSE
Are you a tech-savvy student who thinks a little differently? Do you enjoy solving problems and helping others with IT/tech issues? Then you might be the person we’re looking for to join our Rotterdam office as a Working Student in Tech/IT Support.
We don’t have a standard IT infrastructure. We have no servers, no domain, and not even a system administrator. But we have a state of art SaaS based environment that includes Google Workspace, Dropbox, Google Apps, Slack, JAMF, O365, Adobe Suite and many other enterprise applications, and a WiFi network that more than 300 Mac and Windows users depend upon daily. We rely on you to keep this all going. In addition, we give you the key to the cupboard with all our digital toys. You are a technical expert, our go-to person, our rock in times of need.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide hands-on support for day-to-day IT and tech-related issues across the office
- Act as a point of contact for internal users experiencing hardware or software problems
- Assist with installing and configuring software and ensuring it’s properly set up for users
- Perform basic hardware troubleshooting and repairs (e.g., laptops, peripherals, network connections)
- Maintain and manage the hardware inventory to ensure availability and readiness of essential equipment
- Set up workstations and help new team members get up and running smoothly
- Handle light technical fixes around the office (from replacing bar stools to tuning sound systems)
- Assist in maintaining shared tech infrastructure like meeting room systems and shared printers
- Support internal events by ensuring all things run smoothly
- Collaborate closely with the IT, People and Operations teams to continuously improve support processes.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Fluent in English, Dutch is a plus
- Service-oriented, get energy from helping people and are not averse to a bit of lugging;
- Have basic knowledge of macOS, Windows, iOS and Android;
- Have basic knowledge of Gmail, Dropbox, O365;
- Have basic knowledge of computer HW&SW principles
- Know how to use your hands and tools, from printer to a cordless drill;
- Want to learn a lot of new things;
- Available for a minimum of 16 hours per week.
