Key Responsibilities
- Support the Level Design team in delivering final gameplay, including scripting, logic implementation, and technical setup.
- Work in Unreal Engine 5 using Blueprints and other tools to implement mission flow, encounters, and scripted moments.
- Debug gameplay issues.
- Collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and QA to ensure stability, performance, and quality of gameplay sequences.
- Help define and improve workflows and tools used by the design team.
- Communicate technical constraints and implementation strategies clearly across departments.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Strong proficiency with Unreal Engine 4 or 5, especially Blueprint scripting and gameplay systems integration.
- Experience implementing or supporting gameplay logic for missions, combat encounters, AI behaviors, or interactive events.
- Solid understanding of scripting fundamentals, debugging workflows, and runtime behavior.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Comfortable adapting to technical constraints and iterative design changes.
- Familiarity with C++ and scripting extensions in Unreal.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Perforce), bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira), and collaborative documentation (e.g., Confluence).
- Experience supporting espionage-action, first-person, or narrative-heavy titles.
- A passion for delivering cinematic, tightly tuned gameplay moments.
Education & Experience
- 4–7 years of relevant experience in game design or technical design roles.
- At least one shipped AA or AAA title in a technical implementation capacity.
- Comfortable working with remote and distributed teams.
