What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of trading systems to ensure stability in the production environment
- Develop automation tools to streamline operational processes
- Triage, prioritize, and troubleshoot complex network and system issues
- Collaborate with development teams to enhance the stability and functionality of trading systems
- Coordinate firm-wide changes within a global change management framework
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's or associate degree in a technical area such as computer science or engineering
- Proficient in Python development with experience in application requirements, design, implementation, and deployment
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan and prioritize effectively
- Proficient in Linux and understanding of networking concepts including DNS, HTTP, TCP/IP, and UDP
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience supporting electronic trading systems
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Grafana
- Knowledge of the Atlassian suite of products (Confluence, Jira, Bitbucket)
- Experience with Active Directory, Windows Server, and Windows 11
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles in operational environments
