Job Title: Technical WriterJob Description
We are seeking a dedicated Technical Writer to join our team, focusing on documentation and records management, electronic content management, and training. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in creating and maintaining high-quality production documentation, managing electronic content systems, and developing effective training programs.
Responsibilities
Create and assist in the creation of procedures and training materials.
Ensure that production documentation is complete and appropriate.
Manage documents and records, both paper and electronic.
Act as the subject matter expert and administrator for the Epicor ECM system.
Coordinate the addition of new record and document types and functionality into Epicor ECM.
Partner with the Epicor ERP system administrator to enhance functionality and interaction between Epicor and Epicor ECM.
Manage the Training Management System.
Collaborate with supervisors to create and update training programs and matrices.
Conduct training and develop assessments to measure effectiveness.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in technical writing and document control.
Experience in a mechanical or manufacturing environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Good documentation practice experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively with all levels of personnel.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
College diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in document control.
Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
Work Environment
Work cross-functionally across the entire organization, reporting to the Director of Quality. Engage in daily communication with various groups, ranging from engineers and operators on the manufacturing floor to executive leaders. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
