Position Overview
We are seeking an IPlan / Campaign Plan Writer to support MCICOM in developing, refining, and documenting strategic planning efforts. This role involves drafting and integrating long-term strategic documents, including the Installation Plan (IPlan) and the Installation and Logistics Campaign Plan, ensuring alignment with MCICOM’s mission, vision, and strategic goals. The candidate will collaborate closely with senior leadership and stakeholders to develop comprehensive goals and objectives addressing internal and external concerns over a ten-year period.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain MCICOM’s strategic planning documents, ensuring cohesion across initiatives such as Installation Next (I-neXt) and Force Design (FD).
- Write, review, and refine the IPlan and Installation and Logistics Campaign Plan, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with Marine Corps priorities.
- Identify and assess MCICOM’s strategic capabilities to optimize infrastructure and support Fleet Marine Force (FMF) readiness.
- Establish strategic goals and actionable objectives for MCICOM’s long-term initiatives.
- Conduct policy reviews and recommend updates to MCICOM orders, directives, and policies.
- Support leadership in conference planning, meeting coordination, and strategic communication related to strategic plans.
Required and Desired Skills
- Bachelor’s degree (minimum).
- 10+ years of experience in strategic writing, policy development, or military planning.
- Proven experience in developing organizational strategies, including mission statements, vision, and goals.
- Strong understanding of DoD and Marine Corps operational priorities and planning processes.
- Excellent technical writing skills for complex strategies.
- Experience working with senior military leadership and stakeholder engagement.
- Secret Clearance.
- Master’s degree in Public Administration, Strategic Studies, or related field.
- Prior experience with MCICOM, Marine Corps installations, or related DoD entities.
- Experience in campaign planning, strategic assessments, and policy analysis.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary range: $95,000 - $115,000 annually. Compensation is based on experience, skills, education, and organizational needs. This position is eligible for comprehensive benefits.
