We're looking for a Telecommunications BIM Designer who is excited about working on projects that enable the heart of our clients' business and is interested in working side-by-side with other team members at our client's site. This is a hybrid position in Tempe, AZ however, qualified candidates located in the western region of the U.S will also be considered.

As a BIM designer on our projects, you will be engaged daily in the process of documenting telecom designs. This allows the ability to learn technical telecom design aspects from our senior telecom designers while also expanding your BIM skillset by working with other BIM designers supporting the project. Working under the direction of telecom discipline leads, this position provides an opportunity to showcase your Revit expertise in while staying in accordance with Jacobs and client BIM standards. Using a mixture of the Revit, Navisworks and AutoCAD software platforms you will create and manage content towards fully coordinated 3D models across all design disciplines (C,S,A,M,E,P,T,I,L) as well as creating 2D construction drawings. This is all accomplished in coordination with other designers, discipline leads, architects and engineers who are all on the same Jacobs design team. Using the Jacobs design methods in conjunction with your keen eye for detail and established BIM skills, you will be part of our telecom design team working to turn the design intent of our senior telecom design staff into constructable deliverables including clash-free 3D models.

High school graduate or equivalent
At least 4 years of Revit design experience
Experience mentoring fellow BIM design staff
A growing understanding of how codes and standards shape design decisions
A growing understanding of design and construction specifications and their function
Basic understanding of wiring/cabling connections in relation to a circuit or a link between devices and equipment
Analytical thinking skills
Experience following client design and modeling standards
Familiarity with Bluebeam or similar markup software
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Willingness to learn new things
Ideally, you'll also have:?
Two-year technical degree or four-year non-technical degree
3 years of relevant experience in telecommunications design and construction industry
Ability to estimate hours required for design and modeling efforts based on provided markups and/or verbal direction requests
Understanding of cleanroom environments
