Responsibilities
- Assess and analyze highly complex underwriting risks using diagnostic and systematic methods.
- Develop endorsement language for complex risks.
- Determine pricing for risks based on financial and competitive analysis.
- Recommend underwriting policies and pricing strategies.
- Analyze risk quality, profitability, and prepare reports for management.
- Market products through agencies and broker relationships.
- Maintain industry knowledge and participate in trade groups.
- Mentor and guide junior underwriters and assist in training.
- Utilize CNA systems for daily activities.
- Lead special underwriting projects and presentations.
Qualifications
- Advanced underwriting expertise and knowledge of insurance principles.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle ambiguous situations and resolve business problems creatively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related software.
- Leadership skills.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; professional designations preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years underwriting experience, with 3-10+ years relevant experience for specific roles.
