Veterans Transition Program-Relationship Manager, Aladdin Client Engagement

The Veterans Transition Program is designed to support veterans in making the transition from military life to the civilian workforce. The Program offers participants the opportunity to work at the world's largest asset manager for six months. On completion of the Program, successful participants will be offered permanent employment at BlackRock.

Program Structure:
The program begins with an orientation where you'll learn about BlackRock's principles, mission, purpose, and culture. You'll learn about the asset management industry and get an in-depth look at how BlackRock serves its clients. Following orientation, you'll join your team and gain insights into the day-to-day life of an Associate as you develop subject-matter expertise through on-the-job learning and our industry-leading technology, Aladdin.
BlackRock Solutions (BRS) supports the investment process through the development, deployment and support of our enterprise investment management platform ( Aladdin® ), which is utilized by executives, portfolio management, risk management and operations teams. BRS provides strategic advisory and enterprise investment system services for our clients with portfolios totaling over $13 trillion . Our diverse client base is made up of external institutional asset managers, pensions, insurance companies, banks, and governments around the world. The BRS business is the natural evolution of our long-standing investment in developing sophisticated and highly integrated analytics and systems for managing money.
Aladdin Client Engagement is part of the Aladdin Business within BlackRock Solutions. It is responsible for maximizing the value of the Aladdin product through engagement and education and working closely with clients to be their trusted consultant, problem solver, and business partner. This is a client facing role and you will be expected to build deep and highly effective partnerships with clients to understand and solve problems.
We are seeking someone to bridge institutional client relationship management with expertise in client industry, financial markets, and the Aladdin ecosystem to maximize our value proposition and client outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
Own relationships with client's senior management (CTO, CIO, COO, Heads of Desks) to understand their business objectives and needs and help them use Aladdin expertise to achieve their firm's goals.
Understand the client's business challenges and propose solutions leveraging Aladdin that drive value and adoption.
Ensure client feedback on product is communicated to the Product Managers and is tracked through successful development and deployment.
Partner with the client, as well as Aladdin Product Managers and the financial modelers to support client's development needs
Assist clients in leveraging Aladdin to its fullest across the entire trade and portfolio lifecycle
Keep updated on regulatory and operational industry trends to help your clients stay ahead of changing times
Serve as a subject matter knowledge lead on multiple Aladdin workflows and processes
Help Client Engagement leads with harvesting and onboarding additional client business by coordinating across product and sales teams
Help clients adopt and learn Aladdin's regulatory reporting
The role demands technical proficiency and a robust comprehension of our Aladdin technology applications.
Engage with clients to define key strategic and tactical initiatives, leveraging your internal network to oversee and execute cross-functional project solutions. This is not a project management role, and it involves hands-on implementation of solutions alongside clients and internal teams, from the inception of the project to the realization of the desired future state.
Lead internal stakeholders discussions to guide and align the development of our product by bringing the voice of the client to the table
Qualifications
2+ years of work experience in financial services or consulting, OR graduate level degree
Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineer, Economics, Accounting, Finance is preferred
Strong interest in FinTech and the Financial Institutions (Banks and Insurance companies) and/or Asset Management
Familiarity with buy-side investment management or middle-office workflows is preferred
Working understanding of equity, fixed income and derivative markets and their operational workflows. Knowledge of alternative investments and their lifecycle is a plus
Outstanding communication and the ability to present complex concepts simply and clearly to varying audiences
Must have past demonstration of strong project management and leadership skills, and the ability to deliver large complex projects
Preferred Skills and Experience
Experience with SQL, UNIX, VBA , C++, PERL, Python, BI Tools (Tableau, PowerBI) or similar tools, and/or Aladdin
CFA, FRM, CIMA, or CAIA certification

This role will be based in our New York or Washington DC Office
Program Eligibility:
Minimum of 2 years of Active Uniformed service
<5 years of civilian work experience
Bachelor's degree obtained pre- or post-military service
Open to all U.S. Veterans, regardless of rank or branch of service
Must be able to commence employment in October 2025

Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
For Washington, DC Only the salary range for this position is USD$105,000.00 - USD$132,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
